I think we should have a new tag. Common Core Standards.  It’s not anyone’s favorite topic by any means, but since most states are adopting them and we aren’t receiving much PD on them — maybe we could all help each other out.

A Timeline of Ice & Fire: The Events Leading Up To A Game of Thrones

A Song of Ice and Fire is the most insane fantasy series ever written. Not because it is the best, nor is it even the most creative. What makes it so insane is that Martin is willing to kill literally every and any character whom the reader grows to like. It is both the illest and also most frustrating move made by a writer that I can remember. Ill, because you are always on your toes. I recently finished the fifth book, and well over 5000 pages into the series I was still caught completely by surprise by a major plot twist. Wack, because all of the characters who you love die.
